Deposits
Take a small upfront payment to protect against no-shows.
What it is
A deposit is a small amount (a flat figure like $20, or a percentage) charged when a client books online. It comes off their final bill.
Why it helps
Clients who pay something upfront almost always turn up. It is the single best way to cut no-shows.
How to use it
- 1Connect Stripe first (see Connecting Stripe). Without it, deposits cannot charge.
- 2Go to Settings, Deposits and turn 'require deposit' on.
- 3Choose a flat amount or a percentage.
- 4To only charge risky clients, turn on the No-show shield instead of charging everyone.
